Days before taking a test or assesment, the teacher will go over what they will be tested on for at least 5 minutes. She will ask them to repeat what they need to know so that they can go home and study what they recited. The day of the test, the teacher will review really short and fast of what they have learned. I asked why she did that and she responded, "Because it refreshes their memory and releases positive hormones in their brains to help remember what they know." I think it is great to be able to hurry and review. It really helps the students.
However, I have seen students with ADHD among other things in the classroom where the student cannot finish any assignment. One teacher literally moved the students desk and put it right next to hers so that she could be there to read the problems to her if necessary, and also to make sure he's getting things done.
